Weddings
Vatulele Island Resort is a romantic island oasis, whether you plan to celebrate your big day with all of your family and friends or just want to ‘elope’ to the romance and tranquillity of this stunning island. One of the most popular settings for wedding ceremonies at Vatulele is on the beach at sunset, bathing the Bride and Groom in a warm golden glow.
Fijian warriors in traditional dress escort the Bride on a barge across the lagoon while children sprinkle flower petal in the sand as she is carried ashore to join her beloved. Accompanied by the sweet sounds of a Fijian village choir, the ceremony harmonises perfectly with the gorgeous and intimate natural surrounds.
Upon completion of the ceremony, guests are invited to join in the celebrations with champagne toasts, a traditional Kava ceremony, native feast fire roasted in pits in the ground and a genuine village ceremonial dance to honour the occasion. Wedding package pricing is available upon request.
